Worms in Round Tall Metal Raised Garden Bed?

Curious if anyone has been able to establish a sustained worm presence in the large round Birdy's beds like the ones Mark uses? I don't know if they would be able to migrate all the way from the ground to the surface at the top of the container - especially since I filled the bottom third of mine with logs? I'm thinking of either borrowing some earthworms from my yard and/or adding worm seeds directly into the bed. I had an excellent first gardening season with them last growing season - so perhaps it's not critical? Might any of you wise gardeners have any suggestions/feedback?

I've been pleasantly surprised at the number of worms I find in my raised beds after 18 odd months. Using my own compost that had some level of worm population in it did help I feel.
