Here's a homestead or acreage property showcase video of my sister's and brother-in-law's 2.5 acre property. I focus mainly on the vegetable garden and orchard. They are on grid power but do supplement with a solar system and are self-sufficient in water plus run their own septic system.

Thanks for showing us someone else's garden mark.
I was green with envy at the lack of dead & yellow leaves on everything.
Yes they certainly do have good soil.
Just a thing about those lovely corn silks.
They are an excellent health adjunct being a great natural antibiotic.
And taste good too. Just slightly loosen the husks, pull the wad of silks from the top & consume.
Chooks love them also.

Hey @Ash I believe you have recently met Werner?

He tells me you're an excellent Dr - of course, we already know that... :)

G'day Mark.
I recall that name. Hard to recall what it was all about but I'm honoured to be thought of as such. Thanks and do pass my regards. Nice video too by the way. Inspiring.

Great tour! thanks for sharing it with us.

I was wondering.....with the gravel around the beds in the veggie patch.....would they heat up much (from sun) and cook the plants?

I spotted a grey water hose down near the orchard. Great use of waste water.

No not really. The only issue with gravel paths around vegetable beds is weeds growing through it that's why I changed to lawn...
