Hi 67HR, that is a beautiful photo. It must have been an extrordinary feeling seeing that beautiful creature emerging out of the distance, you can never really feel the size unless you are there in real life.

    Salad and herb garden progress

Hi everyone, just wanted to share some progress, this was taken on the 17th Jan 2020 The new shot was taken today. We have had a few days of decent rain and the garden loves it. I have my 3 citrus trees which have new growth but the rest is chives, spring onion, basil, thyme, dill and lettuce.

This is a photo I got to take while in South Africa a few years ago. We only had the one shark and this is as close as she got but I think the murkiness (is that even a word?) gives it a good feel.

Hello from sunny Victoria...wait, now it's raining...no, suns back

Thanks Mary, it's all about the food for me, I haven't planted anything that can't go into the kitchen. Although I do cheat a bit, I have been known to grab a tomato from the bush and a basil leaf and just go for it.

    Lime tree roots question

Thanks Dave, I think I'll take the lime out and have a look. I don't want to kill it by taking it out of the pot but if it's goiung to be root bound, it will die anyway. Cheers, Paul

They are only young but the lime seems to be trying to jump out of the pot it is in (they are in pots to restrict how big they get. I suspect the soil in...

Hi everyone, I have just joined this forum and thought I would give a little before asking questions. In a former life I was a Navy photographer for 14 years so have picked up a tip here and a trick there. I'm happy to share my knowledge so if you have any questions about photography, please...
