Wildlife -Squirrels

    I suspect that this thread will really 'take off'.
    My opinion of squirrels, AFTER saying that they are the prettiest creatures, is that regardless of continent, climate or altitude, we will always do battle with squirrels over our strawberries - especially if they are in hanging baskets or strawberry towers. :censored:

    :ROFL::ROFL: except in Australia because we don't have them thar little blighters!!

    However having said that, we do have equally frustrating critters in possums, although they are much bigger but just as agile.


    Apparently squirrel tastes ok bbq'd?!

    Squirrels are cute and the first ones I saw wild were in South Africa (I was surprised because I never knew they had them there) they were working the tourist strip in the city scavenging around picnic tables etc.

    Personally, I'm glad we don't have them here in Oz because we do have enough animals to contend with when it comes to crop protection!

    Yes we have Possums and they create a lot of extra work protecting our produce. I don't mind sharing some but not all.
