Hi again,
I'm hoping to get advice on what might be stealing my tomatoes. I've never seen a possum here in 20 years but that doesn't mean there isn't one, or maybe it's a huge rat? The tomato which went was twice the size of the one in the picture and I could find no evidence of it anywhere. Incidentally, that tomato in the pic was pilfered last night in the same fashion. Snipped off above the fruit and no evidence of it being eaten on site. Would a rat be carrying it away?

I'm trying to work out what measures I need to take to protect my fruit and vege. I think I need a trail camera, this is frustrating.

Yeah, that's definitely a good idea. Do you know of any affordable models with night vision?
I also have some non kill small animal traps coming on loan tomorrow.

Years ago when I lived in Katherine NT, I had cherry tomato's in my front yard that kept getting pinched. I suspected a mate of mine who lived across the road and gave him a stern warning. Turned out it was Bower Birds! .....I had to apologize ;) :D
