Making solar heaters out of used cans

These seem like good ideas for warming a room or the house up without worrying about the rising cost of electricity. Heaters made from collected food and softdrink cans enclosed in a casing with a glass or perspex cover.

This first video is more a commercial venture - not sure on the price they'd retail for.

This video is a DIY job and probably good for heating the immediate (personal) area or a very small room I guess.

Go on - It could be a cheap way to warm the shed through our mild winters. Just use Bundy cans

This sounds dangerous, us bunch sitting around drinking rum cans and coming up with crazy self sufficient ideas

I have to put a spoke in the works... I confess, I can't drink rum it makes me crook but I do drink BOURBON and that comes in cans too!

Fine with me. I don't mind the Woodstock brand of bourbon and that comes in a massive 440ml can. Think of the efficiency if we drink the large cans!
