Although I could have easily spent $50 at Bunnings I took the opportunity to buy some chicken drinkers online.
Really looking forward to setting up for some ladies to take up residence in their new home. :feedchooks:

What type? If you have time please start a separate thread on your drinkers as this would be a good discussion!

Glad you found the prize money useful - chickens are great to keep - even just two good layers will keep a family of 4 in enough eggs for a weekly fry-up and some baking.

They're the little cup type with the float to keep them topped up.
But they aren't the ones you mount in a drum or PVC pipe, these have a hose that you can connect up to the water source. Hard to explain but yes I will get some pics and start a thread.

We love it when we are able to get eggs from friends as they are just so much better then the store bought ones. So looking forward to it.
