Hi everyone. My wife and I built a small cottage (540 sq. ft.) about 2 years ago. We have added a work shop, a chicken coop, and 24 golden buffs to our little homestead. I am very much looking forward to planting the raised bed gardens this spring....if winter ever ends!

I agree, your place looks like something out of National Geographic!

Thanks for joining SSC and I'm looking forward to hearing how your raised beds go this spring and hopefully more about your beautiful cottage.

Welcome :)

Great home but I used to hate defrosting the fridge when I was younger. I think I would need too many layers of clothing to live there no matter how beautiful it looks. What type of heating do you use? Have you tried a rocket stove or other low wood use stove?
