Hey are these edible?

We have a palm tree and for the first time in 20 years is has a bunch of fruit-like things growing out of it. Anyone know if these are edible?

Is that a Triangle palm?
The nuts probably are not edible unless you are a monkey!

........or a bat (flying fox)!

I always cut the nut bunches off my palms now due to the risk of Hendra from the bats stopping by to get a feed.
