Hello, just spent a wonderful warm May day putting up a (better) deer fence around my vegetable garden and berries. Long time SSM youtube viewer, I've learnt heaps from my elders not to mention Mark's top tips. Always find the subtropical aspect of Mark's growing environment interesting, and a bit of a mind bender compared to my growing situation where growing seasons are very well defined. Either it grows or its too cold. I have a small yard with a decent growing space, various raised beds and a hoop house to extend my growing season here on the west coast of Canada. Yard is well positioned for 12 1/2 hrs of full sun, my greatest pests are deer, bears, and too much rain. Excited to learn more. Currently growing 280 onions, bunch o carrots, 3 rows of potatoes 16 feet long, 7x20 gal bags of potatoes, 6 zucchini and summer squash, 4 butternut squash, 16 feet of pole beans, 8 cucumbers, 180 snap peas, 20 tomatoes, bunch of rasberry canes and blueberries. Not quite self-sufficient but getting there.
