    Happy birthday Ray!

By accident I discovered that Jaboticaba are not dry tolerant!

While I was in hospital in late January and February this year before the rain came and it was so hot, there was no one to look after my place.
Lots of trees, a small crop and most of my garden died.
The Jaboticaba was amongst those that didn't survive.

Even though it was planted nearly a year ago on a large mound of good soil that I had created and had surrounding chilies, edible weeds and amaranth for shade and protection, it didn't survive.
A nearby yellow sapote planted the same way did survive.
