This segment is from ABC TV Gardening Australia August 2014 where Jerry went to visit a guy John Picconi near Byron Bay in NSW who has a massive tropical fruits orchard & makes or grows almost everything the family eats.

This segment is about 7-10mins long.

They walk through his huge fully netted orchard & John talks about many of the fruits he is growing. He also shows some fruits that don't need to be grown under the net.
What is also shown is the spacings and row widths for the trees.

But I am so envious of all his flat land so he can set out his orchard & net it with fruit fly proof netting.
I hope its also hail proof!

Wow, what a lovely story! I guess having sold up in Sydney he prob had a few $$ to invest...mind you Byron isn’t cheap. I also wonder how ftDNA you have to replace the netting?

If you buy the premium Aussie made netting it will last a good few years apparently.
