Hello everyone, I actually have need of some help...I have a Janoel 12 automatic incubator...I am attempting to save as many of the 10 endangered species of duck eggs I rescued from a flock of crows! Has anyone else used this unit, and if so any tips on calibrating it? I have a secondary farenheit thermometer I put inside and have the unit set to 37.5C. but my internal F. thermometer is all over the place, I even checked with a 3rd one and it's correct...so I stay parked next to it making sure that it stays in a decent temp range...the manual is crap on this machine but it gets very high ratings for a small incubator...I made a insulated box actually in the middle of Mark's video and it is helping a lot...it has a plus and minus 5 degree C. Range for calibrating but I don't know which way to go to get 37.5C. To be as close to 99.5F. As possible... I promise to get into conversation with a lot of you as I see so many interesting things but for now I have all my energy and time in taking care of these eggs... I have 6 hearts beating as of now!!! Thanks

Welcome to the site Greg

How are the eggs going?
Hello everyone I'm Greg from Tampa Florida, glad to be here!! Thanks...And Thanks Stevo for asking, so far I am looking pretty good, I have seen 6 hearts beating and pretty sure 1 may be un fertile, and the other 3 are just starting, so I'm watching them closely, with my clock set for a wake up every 2 hours around the clock I'm pretty exhausted but feel so responsible for these eggs that it helps that to fade away...I'm being realistic about the hatch rate, but still hopeful! I am managing to keep the temp in check by checking every 2 hours on a very frustrating machine that is supposed to do all this for me...it turns them nicely and keeps the humidity going, but 37.5c doesn't match 99.5 F on my thermometer I bought as a backup and for humidity levels...like I've said These will probably be the most looked after eggs in history!! Cheers! Btw using the app on my phone and it's taking a bit to learn how to navigate...so if I don't respond right away it maybe because I sent my message to some poor lady in Alaska......
