Yeah I know! Hopefully, the recent activity is a sign the forum is heading in the right direction. Still lots of work to do though. But, you guys sticking with SSC has been a major factor in keeping it going :)

Six weeks ago I purchased and planted a DF plant It's about two foot high and has started to grow nicely but there is about six side shoots coming off the main trunk These aren't roots or tendrils but will eventually become main branches Should I let them grow or break them off?
Will it harm the plant if I break them off?

Hi Ken! It depends how you want it to grow? Are you growing it up a post or on a trellis? If it's up a post then you'd want the main stem to grow to the top before branching out so remove the side shoots but if it's on a trellis then you might want to let it espalier and therefore keep the side shoots?

The red header in the original style is back this colour scheme originally matched the blog but now they are clearly separate websites.

Hey! How come you have the most points! The bloody management is favouring you all right! Sorry just letting you know I tore strips off Lee-mika. I was incensed by the old farts attitude. Originally I was smoothing it over(threads lost to Aussie host) but on revisit, I bit back.

Tim, this forum is about discussion, sharing ideas/information, answering and asking questions. Sometimes this is going to lead to robust debate and as long as there's no bad language, direct abuse etc people are free to disagree here on SSC and I won't moderate unless it gets really nasty. We all know the difference between having a go at someone and abusing someone.

Bloody hell Mark, the move to the Aussie host has not just lost posts, it's slow as crap! Stuttering and waiting... I just changed pages and it sent me back to the intro page! Maybe not such a good move mate?

There will be a settling in period and we needed to fix a few things behind the scenes that were causing some major issues but hopefully it will improve. I was fed up with the American host.
